A role of a nurse in a climate emergency: Climate Action Nurses undertook important research in 2022 to ascertain the role of a nurse in an extreme weather event. The review found that the nurses role encompassed not only a complex clinical service provider, but spanned the role of administrator, building manager and social worker. The research team has submitted their findings to an international journal in January 2023 to inform training, education required to prepare the nursing workforce to work in a climate emergency.
