Advancing Communities Australia (ACA) is establishing a youth action and advisory group called Youth Advancing Communities Australia (YACA).
Representatives aged 16 to 25 years, from a broad cross-section of social, cultural, economic and environmental interest representative areas, are being sought for this group.
This group will look to tackle issues to improve the social, cultural, economic and environmental welfare of communities in Australia, as seen important by young people. YACA representatives will also have the opportunity to become involved in and help to provide insight into the organisation and direction of other ACA projects.
When and where does YACA meet?
Meeting dates and times will be determined by YACA members and will aim to accommodate as many needs as possible. YACA extends nation-wide across Australia and so meetings will be help primarily online. Between meetings, they will connect with other members via a Microsoft Teams portal, which will be the main platform for discussion and information sharing. Geographical chapters of the YACA may choose to hold meetings face-to-face once they are established.
